The Kooples
Parisian Rock Chic with a Rebellious Edge
The Kooples was founded in 2008 by the three brothers, Alexandre, Laurent, and Raphaël who come from a family deeply rooted in fashion. Their parents, were the founders of the French ready-to-wear brand Comptoir des Cotonniers, known for its timeless and elegant designs. Inspired by their family’s expertise and legacy, the brothers set out to create a brand that would redefine modern fashion with a rock-chic, androgynous aesthetic.
The name "The Kooples" comes from the French pronunciation of the English word "couples," emphasizing the brand’s original concept: designing stylish, complementary pieces that could be shared between partners. Early campaigns featured real-life couples, embodying the effortless, rebellious romance that became the brand’s signature.
With a strong emphasis on tailoring, luxurious materials, and a distinct rock-inspired edge, The Kooples quickly gained a cult following. Over the years, the brand has expanded its collections while maintaining its signature Parisian coolness, offering everything from sharp blazers and leather jackets to effortlessly chic dresses and accessories.
